It’s that time of year again. Accountants from across the country and around the world have gathered to explore, learn, network, and party. A lot.
Yes, Quickbooks Connect is here. The annual conference finds itself in San Jose, California this year, and is a great event for accountants, bookkeepers, and app developers alike. There are a ton of speakers to see, people to meet and booths to visit.
And, of course, Veem will be there with bells on.
Veem’s payments platform has been fully integrated with Quickbooks since 2017. In that time, we’ve worked with the teams at Quickbooks and Intuit, as well as our own accounting clients and partners to develop an integration that’s perfect for our users.
We’ll be hanging out at Booth 22e for the entire event, so make sure to stop by and say Hi. We’ll have information about upcoming features, handouts, and even our trademark socks for some lucky attendees.
But aside from taking free stuff, which we don’t blame you for, there are other reasons to visit Veem at Quickbooks connect this year. Here are some of the things we’ve been working on.
Have you ever tried to join a website or service and it asked if you want to sign up with Facebook, Google, Twitter, or some other platform? That’s single sign-on.
It’s basically a quick and easy way to combine information from one area of the web to use in another. Veem and Quickbooks have this capability. If you already have a Quickbooks account (which we assume you do if you’re attending the conference), all you need to do is click the Sign-In with Intuit button at the top of the screen on our website.
This feature allows existing Quickbooks users to fully migrate their banking information, payments history, and other data over into the Veem platform with no manual entry required. It’s just that easy.
That’s right. Unlike most platforms that ask for sign-up or subscription fees, Veem is absolutely free, and doesn’t charge extra to sign-up through Quickbooks.
We do this for a couple of reasons, but mostly because we want to offer our service to the widest possible audience. We know that accountants and bookkeepers are constantly being asked to pay subscription fees for apps and services they need to run their practices. At Veem, we want our accounting partners and users to take full advantage of our platform without breaking the bank. It’s part of who we are, and why our Quickbooks integration is so valuable in this thriving industry.
Last year, Veem was selected as a finalist in Quickbooks’ App Showdown contest.
It was a huge deal for us. Among dozens of great apps and services that integrate with Quickbooks, we were selected as one of the top 10 apps in the entire portfolio. It wasn’t just great media exposure, but it solidified us as a major Quickbooks partner, pushing our established integration even further.
Since being finalists in the showdown, we’ve been active on social media and other channels to help current and future contestants do the same. The contest isn’t just about the prize money, though. It’s about building and participating in a great community of accounting and bookkeeping professionals passionate about technology.
A little more recent news. Veem was named a Firm of the Future by Quickbooks. As a startup, Veem is constantly growing, changing, and evolving to become a better service for all of our users.
The Firm of the Future is a feature highlight by Quickbooks for their partners, integrations, and affiliated apps. The idea is that these firms are contributing to the future of the accounting and bookkeeping industry in positive and innovative ways.
As we grow, we’re constantly working to improve our day-to-day processes with an eye to the future. We see the path to seamless global payments for small businesses, we just have to pave it. We want to thank the team at Quickbooks for recognizing our contributions.

Quickbooks Connect is one of our favorite events of the year. The stories, learning experiences, and events get better each year. But ultimately, the people are what keep us coming back.
