We are excited to announce the news of an additional $24M in new funding plus our unveiling of our new name: Veem!

With investments from National Australia Bank (NAB) – Australia’s largest business bank, GV (formerly known as Google Ventures), SBI Investments Co, Ltd, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers (KPCB) and, Sillicon Valley Bank (SVB), we are better placed than ever to continue our goal of making payments easier for you.

We also decided this was the right time to change our name to Veem.  We feel the name better captures the innovative, dynamic spirit we are bringing to the global payments space to help small businesses send and receive funds to their global partners all over the world.  Next time you need to send money quickly and easily,  just Veem your payment!

Why did Align Commerce change its name?

We felt we needed a name that better represented the innovative global payment service we’ve developed for small businesses, something that sounded dynamic and modern, yet was memorable for our customers.   With our latest round of funding just announced (see link), we felt this is the appropriate time in our evolution to make the change.  Now, you can just Veem your payments to anywhere in the world!

Does this new name means I have to sign up again?

NO.  We’re still the same people striving to provide you top notch service without burdensome fees.  We just like going by the new name.  Nothing needs to be changed in your account.

Are you still licensed after the name change?

Of course. We are strong followers of the rules and regulations around the world.  Our registrations and  licenses will remain in place and will transfer to our new name.

Will my counterparty be notified?

Yes.  Everyone Veem does business with will be notified of the name change, along with this FAQ, and a toll-free number will be provided should they have questions.

Will bank statements change?

For those who are receiving funds, you’ll see Veem show up as the sending party.  Other than that, no change of service will occur.
