We are looking for an experienced product designer to lead out pay & get paid experiences and be a player-coach to our team of designers across core payments and money products.

As a Product Designer, you will help build and improve design at Veem. You will lead a small, global design team and talk directly to our customers, distilling their feedback into actionable insights impacting everything we build. You will also work directly with product and engineering on design systems to promote easy scaling and development for user interfaces. This role requires a dynamic individual who is comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment, with a solid ability to go deep into end-user problems and then apply design thinking and design craft to solve them.

  • Articulate complex visions through simple, elegant designs
  • Participate in customer research with clear goals, a testable hypothesis, and a learning plan
  • Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends
  • Work on multiple projects at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results
  • Define and standardize reusable design patterns and components in Figma
  • Serve as primary owner of our Figma UI Kit including component design and maintenance
  • Partner with design, engineering, and marketing to establish, build, and maintain a comprehensive library of shared components
  • Set up knowledge-sharing processes that promote collaboration, pairing, and training
  • Expertise in conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
  • Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews


  • 6+ years experience in product design, including experience building and evolving an effective design system
  • Mobile-first hands on experience. Having mobile native app design and responsive web experience is a plus
  • Customer-centric design mindset
  • Mastery of design tools such as Figma
  • Exceptional interaction and visual design skills, with expert command of visual hierarchy, layout, typography, color theory, and brand systems 
  • Genuine empathy for small business owners and use of research to inform design solutions
  • Impeccable attention to detail 
  • A strong emphasis on collaboration and feedback as a driver of success in their product design process
  • A well-presented online portfolio demonstrating your strong craft and collaborative process
  • Bachelor's degree in Product Design, or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience. A graduate degree is a plus
